The Basking in Gravity participatory mindfulness experience combines yoga, meditation, and immersive video installation. Led by artist Daniel Chamberlin, this slow and low sequence of asanas is complemented by projections of slow-moving mandalas composed of photographs of flowers, mushrooms, insects, dew, birds, and other organic and geologic subject matter. The practice also features a soundtrack of New Age, ambient, drone, dub, and “cosmic metal,” as heard on Chamberlin’s weekly Inter-Dimensional Music broadcast on WQRT Indianapolis and Marfa Public Radio on the West Coast of Texas.
These sessions are intended to be accessible to all bodies and experience levels: First timers are most welcome. Come early or email me directly with any questions or concerns. Please bring your own yoga mat. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds!

BONUS CONTENT: Some thoughts on the universal nature of suffering, EMS, and enthusiastic support for endless war
As some of you long-time Inter-Dimensional Music heads may recall, I worked as an EMT in Far West Texas for four years, hanging up my trauma shears in 2014. This is some writing that I recently posted to Twitter about how those memories resurface during times when politicians, pundits, and random people online are cheering for more cruelty, sadness, and suffering in a pointless, endless war. Parts of it were lifted from a PechaKucha talk I gave on the subject of death at Muncie's David Owsley Museum of Art last October. There are yoga pictures too! Click here to start the thread.
